The Monastery halls were rife with excitement, children’s laughter, and the delicious smell of gravy on the morning of Saturday, December 19th for our annual Dana Dinner. This 27-year tradition was started as the Monastery’s offering to the community and includes a meal, gifts, and live entertainment open to all who are able to come.
The event was held in the midst of our Perfection of Giving Retreat, where the Monastery residents were joined by zen kids, teens, and families. We had a good turnout, with about 225 guests in the morning and lighter attendance in the afternoon.
Thanks to the spirited help of the many volunteers and the sincere exchanges between hosts and guests, everyone left with a full stomach and a warm heart.
